While Jimmie Johnson is busy being the first driver in 30-years to win three consecutive series titles, there's still a lot of work underway for NASCAR; especially in Texas.

The 2009 year will bring about several different changes not only for a handful of drivers and race teams but Texas fans in particular will also reap some benefits for the new racing season.

Texas Motor Speedway is reducing ticket prices for both races held in 2009; the Samsung 500 on April 5 and the Dickies 500 on November 8.

For the first time NASCAR will offer the "Backstretch Buster"; $20 seats on the backstretch.

These seats will account for the first two rows of the backstretch, which seats approximately 1,080.

Each customer is limited to four tickets maximum for this section.

Eddie Gossage, Texas Motor Speedway President, revealed a $2 million capital improvement project that is set to transform the upper half of the tracks backstretch area into a motorcoach area known as "Burnout Alley".

"Our demand for motor home space, even this year during a downturn economy, has continued to rise each year and our fans have indicated to us that there was a need for this type of project," said TMS President Gossage.

There will also be "blanket price" which runs $40 per seat for the remaining 10 rows. These are good for the new backstretch area, seating 8,750, that will feature "Burnout Alley" and RV sites on the upper half.

TMS will continue the family four-packs in these rows as well. Fans will still have the option to purchase it for $159 which will include four tickets, four hot dogs and four Coca-Colas.

The "Backstretch Buster" seats will go on sale Tuesday, December 2, at 9a.m., for the Samsung 500 and tickets for the Dickies 500 will be available April 15. source>>>
